Lacuna was founded in early 2020 by Tanushree Singh, a multidisciplinary artist based in Goa. What began as a sabbatical into early experiments in ceramics, evolved from functional tableware to sculptural art collectibles and most recently to wearable art. Tanushree's art practice spans ceramics, photography and metalsmithing - creating visual narratives that challenge conventional boundaries between mediums.

Her work has been featured in leading publications including Architectural Digest, Vogue, Elle, Platform Magazine, The Hindu and Sotheby's International Realty. In March 2024, her ceramic and photography series "Memory" was exhibited at the Museum of Goa, followed by Goa Open Arts Fundraiser exhibition in January 2025.

Driven by a fierce passion for experimentation, Tanushree's artistic language has continued to expand and transform. Her work emerges from her deep fascination with poetry, science fiction and horror, genres that dwell in the unknown, the uncanny, and the unspoken; while being rooted in the organic forms of nature and the human body. These vastly different influences converge to create visuals that weave otherworldly narratives, inviting viewers to transcend the boundaries of everyday reality. Her pieces function as portals, allowing the observer to inhabit alternative dimensions where the familiar becomes fantastical. They serve as a canvas for storytelling where myth, memory, and speculation are allowed to coexist.

Tanushree continues to work from her home studio in Goa and she is currently focused on building her ceramic practice. In her free time she dabbles in wax carving for producing functional wearable art pieces and silversmithing, often up-cycling old silver jewellery, creating one of a kind pieces.
